Kassiopaja – 2007 bay Hanoverian mare by Kaiserkult – St.Pr.St Rosi (Rotspon x Grenadier x Hill Hawk xx)

Graded Hanoverian Verband.

Kassiopaja (Mette) is a German bred mare who was imported as a competition horse into the UK. She gained excellent scores up to medium level, including qualifying for Regionals on a number of occasions. She was working at advanced level at home, before being purchased as a broodmare by Volatis Stud.

Her pedigree combines Grand Prix performers and some of the best names in Hanoverian breeding. Added to this is her wonderful temperament and type, and Mette is an exciting addition to the Volatis broodmare herd.

Mette is a daughter of the Bundeschampion and international Grand Prix star Kaiserkult TSF. Kaiserkult is known for his uphill frame and outsanding canter. He is a son of another Grand Prix stallion in Van Deyk and full brother of Bunderchampion Kaiserdom.

Mette’s dam is the State Premium mare Rosi, who scored highly for ridability in her performance test. This is no doubt due to her sire Rotspon, who is famous for passing on outstanding trainability to his offspring, as well as producing Olympic Medallists. Further great Hanoverian sires are in evidence further back in her pedigree such as Grenadier (Celle) and the Thoroughbred sire Hill Hawk.

Mette’s immediate dam line has produced the Grand Prix stallion Black Desert, the small tour performer Dan Brown, and many state premium mares, licensed stallions, elite auction candidates and Grand Prix level jumpers.
