2009 Brown Trakehner colt by Herzensdieb x Harmsworth Elfinesque to mature approximately 16.2hh
Elfenczar (Czar) was born on the 4th June. Instantly everyone has been enamoured with this colt. He oozes quality, with exceptional limbs and the most beautiful head. The picture above shows him at just a day old. Combining some superb Trakehner bloodlines, with this magnificent colt, means this wil be a hard one to part with! He is naturally very uphill in his way of going, with the canter being particuarly impressive.

Czar's sire Herzensdieb was Champion of the 2005 Trakehner licensing where has was sold to American breeders, the Leatherdales. He was Reserve Champion at his performance test and was 3yo Trakehner riding horse Champion, earning him a place at the Bundeschampionate. Herzensdieb's first foal crops are already being noted for their correct conformation with large strong joints and superb type. A number of colts from Herzensdieb's first foal crop have been selected for the stallion licensing with both the Trakehner verband and the Hanoverian verband. We loom forward to seeing them in the flesh in October and hope they do well.
His sire is the Elite stallion Tambour, who combines the remarkable Hohenstein with our favourite Consul. His dam Herzensfreude passed her performance test with a record score of 9.11. A number ofprozed stallions and sport horses have descended from this line.
Czar's dam Elf is a daughter of the extravagent moving stallion Tycoon, a superbly bred son of the international jumping sire Donaumonarch. Tycoon is a fabulous moving stallion, with immense power. His daughters have been particularly successful, including the rising young eventing star Amazing Grace TSF, the 2002 Champion Trakehner mare Lantana and the dams of the Champion stallions C'est Bon and Le Rouge. His record as a broodmare sire is what attracted us to Elf initially. Tycoon's lineage is combined with one of our favourite stallions, the Elite sire Consul, a superb producer of riding horses. The Elfe mare family is responsible for producing the Champion of the 2002 stallion licensing Elfengeist, who is actually a half brother to Czar's granddam Elfennymphe.
Through this combination of Herzensdieb and Elf, the Elite stallion Consul features twice in Czar's pedigree as does the Elite mare Tilsit III.
