Dilemma was born on 7th June, a few days earlier than expected. She was named Dilemma as we knew as soon as she was born that we would face a real dilemma over which lovely filly to retain as a future broodmare. Dilemma is bred to be an athlete and could be succesful in a range of disciplines. She is already showing huge presence and spark, extravagent suspended movement and a bold attitude towards life. Dilemma has been sold to a new home in Surrey and we wish Hillary every success in the future with her.
Dilemma is by the Dutch bred stallion Ringo. Having bred two fabulous colts from Ringo in 2005, we knew he would pass on great limbs, athletic paces and a superb temperament. Ringo carries exciting bloodlines such as the Olympic Grand Prix stallion Ferro, Purioso and Samber. He is proving to be a very exciting young sire with offspring having been exported around the globe and who are also winning at county level in both coloured and open sporthorse classes.
Her dam is the BWBS mare Broadstone Dingle Dell, a daughter of top British Hanoverian stallion Demonstrator out of the show mare Gladness. Gladness produced a number of succesful show jumpers for Broadstone Stud, including Dell who accumulated both BSJA and BD winnings before retiring sound to stud. Her sire Demonstrator was BHD leading dressage sire on many occasions and competed at Grand Prix level, being shortlisted for the Olympics. His sire line produced international show jumpers Diester and Dollar Girl and his dam is by the legendary Pik Bube. Demonstrator has sired countless advanced horses in all three disciplines.
