Volatis Sanza – 2022 bay filly by Samaii –  Godington Primavera (EH Goldschmit x EH Van Deyk x Tuareg)

Brave, friendly and intelligent describes Sanza perfectly.  From the start she has been very people orientated, just like her wonderful dam.  Sanza has been bred as a perfect all rounder. Her correct conformation and elegance would lend itself to success in the show ring, her movement and pedigree indicate a strong talent for dressage, and her athleticism and blood would allow her to event.

Sanza should mature around 16hh and would be an ideal mount for a lady or junior rider looking for super trainability. With her fabulous pedigree she would also make a fabulous future broodmare.

Sanza’s sire is the licensed Oldenburg stallion Samaii. Samaii was licensed in Germany and passed his 30 and 70 day performance tests there with particularly good marks for his temperament and attitude to work. He competed in Germany up to M level dressage.  He has two licensed sons and a number of offspring competing successfully in dressage. We have bred to him previously using a half Trakehner mare and the resulting filly Volatis Oriana was a dual winner at RIHS, champion at Royal Windsor and runner up at Horse of the Year Show as well as competing successfully BD. Therefore we were always confident that using him on a full Trakehner mare would produce another high quality foal.

Samaii’s sire Sambertino is a well known leading sire of coloured sport horses and Samaii’s damsire Brentano II is the sire of international Grand Prix stallion Benetton Dream and World Cup winner Brentina.  In the next generation is another important Hanoverian sire – Wenzel.

Sanza is the first foal of the graded Trakehner mare Godington Primavera.  Primavera (Poppy) is graded into the main Trakehner Studbook and also had a successful dressage career.  She has the most amazing temperament and importantly an extremely strong motherline being the 3/4 sister to the Trakehner mare of the Year Praise Me and is half sister to the licensed stallion Godington Parsival. Her dam was a State Premum mare and regional champion and her Elite sire Goldschmit is a son of the international Grand Prix horse Biotop.
