Parthian was born on 18th of June, a first foal for our Thoroughbred mare Persia. Named Parthian, after the Persian empire, this beautiful colt is known as Paddy at home. He combines the best of both sire and dam and is a very smart prospect for any discipline. He is a particularly good moving foal, really atheltic and uphill with an expressive trot and big uphill canter. Paddy is by the Dutch bred stallion Ringo. We have bred from Ringo a number of times and know he will always pass on super bone, cadence and fabulous trainability. Ringo carries exciting bloodlines such as the Olympic Grand Prix stallion Ferro, Purioso and Samber. He is proving to be a very exciting young sire with offspring having been exported around the globe and who are also winning at county level in both coloured and open sporthorse classes, and this season had his first Burghley Young Event Horse finalists. He has already sired graded stallion sons and many successful Elite and First premium offspring at the BEF Futurity.

Paddy's dam Persia is a daughter of the Irish National Hunt stallion Quws, who is mainly known for his good point to point offspring. He himself carries the bloodlines of two top class stallions in Robellino and Rainbow Quest. On her dams side is the Coolmore based sire, Glacial Storm, and in the next generation another great British based sire, Sharpen Up. Persia is graded with the SHB and has been sold as an eventing broodmare to Lambrigg stud.
