2003 Brown Thoroughbred Mare by Quws x Patsy Clancy 15.2hh
Persia is an Irish bred mare, who was purchased by the stud in 2007 and was backed and produced ready for a career either in the show ring or as a top class all rounder. Due to Sacha's accident in 2008, the decision was made to retain Persia and put her in foal to the coloured stallion Goshka Ringo, a stallion we have used a number of times and who we felt would compliment her perfectly. If she is not sold previously, Persia will be presented for grading with either the TBF or SPSS this autumn. Persia produced a stunning colt, Volatis Parthian on 18th June.

Persia is a daughter of the Irish National Hunt stallion Quws, who is mainly known for his good point to point offspring. He himself carries the bloodlines of two top class stallions in Robellino and Rainbow Quest. On her dams side is the Coolmore based sire, Glacial Storm, and in the next generation another great British based sire, Sharpen Up.
With her pedigree very much based on middle distance and national hunt bloodlines, Persia is expected to produce stock for both eventing and the show ring.
