2008 Bay Trakehner filly by Latimer x Harmsworth Elfinesque to mature approximately 16.0hh

Elfentime (Tia) was born in the early hours of 16th May. She is Elf's first foal and it looks already like the choice of using Latimer as the sire of her first foal was an inspired one. Tia exceptionally beautiful and typey, and shows wonderful athleticism and a bold and friendly temperament. The name Elfentime pays tribute to both her dam Elfinesque and the wonderful Elfe mother line, but also to her sire LaTIMEr!

Tia had her only outing at the 2008 Trakehner breed show where she was placed 3rd in a very high quality filly foal class. She handled the whole event beautifully, a testament to her superb nature.

Tia's sire is the German based Grand Prix Elite stallion Latimer. We were attracted to Latimer for both his pedigree, a son of the Grand Prix stallion Saint Cloud with the Elite stallions Caprimond and Sokrates on the dam side, but also his temperament. Ridden by a young female rider, his ridability is evident. He started his ridden career by winning the 4yo Bundeschampionate title with unsurpassed ridability, scoring 9.5 and 10 from the guest riders. His offspring are also starting to compete at FEI level, with his graded son Karolinger I already winning at PSG. Latimer is also well known for he quality of his daughters, many of them fetching high prices at the Elite Auction at Neumunster. Sadly Latimer had to be gelded in 2008 after an accident, and so Tia may well be one of his last foal crops.

Tia's dam Elf is a daughter of the extravagent moving stallion Tycoon, a superbly bred son of the international jumping sire Donaumonarch. Tycoon is a fabulous moving stallion, with immense power. His daughters have been particularly successful, including the rising young eventing star Amazing Grace TSF, the 2002 Champion Trakehner mare Lantana and the dams of the Champion stallions C'est Bon and Le Rouge. His record as a broodmare sire is what attracted us to Elf initially. Tycoon's lineage is combined with one of our favourite stallions, the Elite sire Consul, a superb producer of riding horses. The Elfe mare family is responsible for producing the Champion of the 2002 stallion licensing Elfengeist, who is actually a half brother to Tia's granddam Elfennymphe.
