2007 Bay Trakehner Colt by Ivernel x Holme Park Venezia to make 16.2hh

Valiant was born in the early hours of May 26th, the first foal of 2007 for the stud. From the moment he was born, he impressed us with his elegance and correctness, and his beautiful head and eye. Bred for the dressage arena, Valiant's sire Ivernel will contribute his fabulous uphill paces, elegance and fabulous ridability, and his dam Venezia adds a consolidated dam line that has consistently produced sporthorses with great trainability. As he develops Valiant is showing an incredible friendly personality, not to mention fabulous elegance. Valiant will be offered for sale as a serious young dressage or showing prospect.

Valiant's sire is the graded Trakehner sire Ivernel, now resident in France. Ivernel was Reserve Champion of his 100 day performance test and competed successfully to Intermediare level. From small foal crops in Germany he produced some exceptional sons and daughters. For example his premium graded son Kasimir has just qualified for the Bundeschampionat and his grandson Le Rouge twice placed at Warendorf and was the grading Champion in 2004. Ivernel is one of the last remaining sons of the elite stallion Arogno, who is also the grandsire of greats such as Caprimond. Ivernel is known to stamp his foals with his wonderful nature and exceptional movement.

Valiant's dam Venezia, is a product of one of the biggest Trakehner studs in the country, Holme Park. She has already produced graded daughters and British Dressage competitors. Her dam is the Elite mare Vabanque, who was Supreme Champion at the Breed Show in both 1988 and in 1997. She has been one of the most important foundation broodmares at the famous Holme Grove Stud. She was awarded Premium Status at her grading, and on the basis of her offspring's success, was awarded Elite Status. She has produced a number of Premium daughters, a graded stallion son, and advanced dressage competitors. She has produced 15 foals to date and is still going strong at the age of 22.

Vabanque's sire is the Elite stallion Consul, a hugely important influence in both the Trakehner and Hanoverian breeds and a family that appears prominently in the Volatis breeding program. In addition her dam and granddam were also premium mares.
Venezia's sire is the TBF, SHB and BWBS approved stallion Holme Grove Solomon. Solomon has been a leading sire of dressage horses in Great Britain including leading the BHD rankings in 2000. This makes Venezia a full sister to the Grading Champion Velvet, the Graded Stallion Vincent, and the Premium Graded mares Vanity and Vincenca.
